by alberg & austin designer tom hill. Check out tom’s latest project here: the be nice project

“the be nice project was inspired by the manic experiences and the daily drudgery of commuting or traveling anywhere in central London. All I ask is that you quite simply smile, have a nice day and pass on this message.”

the be nice project part II is currently in production, if you’re interested in design and want to contribute e-mail: designers@albergandaustin.com for more info.

have a nice day, peace up, a-town down :) xxx

other stuff by the alberg designers…

Here are some wicked examples of some other work by three of the alberg & austin designers…

Kath Eastwood

“Bloom” came to be whilst I was pottering about and making pretty things for my tiny bedroom in Sheffield in an attempt to make it look more homely!
I’ve always had a love for all things floral, vintage, polka dot and pretty and turned my passion for these things into homeware accessories that can make any home that little more quirky!
Bloom products are sold in and around South Yorkshire in one-off boutiques and at local craft markets.
If you would like to see more of what Bloom is all about and can do then check out my facebook page for more pictures and information: ‘Bloom Kath Eastwood’

The Bloom website is coming very shortly so look out for me!

Ian Carrington

I came across a lot of old pictures that my dad had taken years ago and thought they were pretty nice images.
Having seen a few examples of nice imagery used with cute sayings or song lyrics, I tried my hand at giving it a go.
The collection I have now is growing after looking through hundreds of old pictures, my dad seemed to have a keen eye back in the day.
The text used is only song lyrics with personal connections.

Amy Hill

I draw, I write and I take photos. I wouldn’t claim to excel in any of these fields, but I love them all equally. Albert Einstein might have been talking about me when he said ” I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious”. When I get a ‘real’ job I’d like to work in marketing or publishing, although at the moment I enjoy the freedom that comes with freelancing alongside working for Topshop – it’s a great form of escapism for me, personally. I think giving yourself mini projects and deadlines to work towards can help establish what it is you take out of your creativity, and how much you’re willing to put into it to make it work as something more than a hobby. I’d like to concentrate my efforts into sketching more next year to develop my style; I’m still learning from my mistakes and teaching myself new things all the time. My biggest outlet for my illustration is probably birthday cards and mix cds for my friends – I love hand made gifts. I am a notorious hoarder, which comes in handy when I’m looking for inspiration. Oh and I really want a kitten, which is pretty much the reason they feature on every other page in my sketchbooks.

Look out for more stuff from our other designers soon!
